The WSSRC has today ratified the last and final record from Luderitz, handing over the crown of Speedsailing to US Rob Douglas.

Just days after Alex Caizergues posted a new world record speed of 54.93 knots, and one hour after Sebastien Cattelan took it to 55.49, Rob Douglas has taken the top spot with a speed of 55.65 knots at the 2010 Luderitz Speed Challenge.

Rumors are out that Rob Douglas (USA) is holding the Outright Speed Sailing World Record now with an incredible 55.65 knots.

Alex Caizergues has officially set a new World Speed Sailing Record at 54.10 knots during his 1st run at 15h38 yesterday afternoon.
