The 2013 RRD Obsession is a 5-strut medium-high-aspect kite.

The 2011 RRD Obsession looks similar to last year’s model, but there are a few obvious differences. The trailing edge is now all Dacron and the graphics are actually made of fabric sewn onto the kite as opposed to being screened on, a feature that RRD claims adds more rigidity to the canopy.

While many companies seem to be releasing more products marketed as being all-around, RRD is taking a different approach and is offering four kites this year that are each being marketed for a specific purpose.

There is no doubt people will see you coming with this kite – we couldn’t help but be attracted to the colorful graphics of the kite and bag. Upon setting up the Obsession, one of the most noticeable things we found was its long bridle, however, it seems to work perfectly with this kite design.

The Obsession was already a great kite, so we focused on small details to improve its overall performance.
