North American Kite Racing Champion to be Decided Today

News Courtesy IKA

(SAN FRANCISCO, CA) — After three days of racing at the North American Kiteboard Racing Championship at the St. Francis Yacht Club, the top 10 of 74 kiters will face off on today in four scheduled races to see who will take the title.

The racing can easily be seen from shore but you can also catch the live stream of the near misses, kite tangles, wipeouts, overtakes, and finals at Livestream! By Jamy Donaldson (thanks Jamy! Stay tuned for Jamie’s new DVD Gust II!)

All of this is put on by the race office at the St. Francis Yacht Club headed up by Race Director Robbie Dean and Principal Race Officer John Craig who are supported by an amazing team of individuals committed to providing the best racing possible. Thanks are also due to kite retailer Live2Kite who teamed up with RRD Kiteboarding Americas to provide the snazzy race jerseys. All the volunteers make this event happen, including boat officials, judges, coordinators, media, family, friends, and the local community.

Stay tuned for the finals on June 7th starting at 1pm!
